Classroom Learning
Every classroom is equipped with interactive Digital board system and is a technology- enabled classroom where the teaching is enhanced through the use of technology. The teachers computers in all smart class rooms are connected to a dedicated server engine which allows teachers to use the large repository of curriculum based digital content in order to create a multi sensory learning experience for the students.
Science Labs
The school supports an education system that emphasizes experiential learning. The focus is on challenging the students to explore new ideas and learn by doing. With well equipped and state of the art Physics ,Chemistry and Biology laboratories, the students are provided opportunities to question, explore, examine, hypothesize and draw inferences thus building a scientific temperament.
Robotics Lab
In today’s’ technology-driven world, it’s important now more than ever to prepare students for the future. Teaching robotics to young students throughout their schooling can increase their ability to be creative and innovative thinkers and more productive members of society. By teaching our students the basics of robotics, we have opened a whole new world to them and exciting opportunities that they wouldn’t have access to otherwise.
Language Lab
Learning a language just by studying the theory is not enough to guarantee a successful language learning experience. Language labs provide practice in an entertaining and interactive way to acquire the 4 main language skills: listening, speaking, reading, and writing. To enhance all these skills of students we have well equipped language lab.
The purpose of a language lab is to involve students to actively participate in language learning exercises and get more practice than otherwise impossible in a traditional classroom environment.
Fitzroy
Reading opens doors to adventures, opportunities and brighter futures Reading is the gateway to learning, opening doors to faraway adventures, new possibilities and promising futures. Without strong reading skills, children will face a host of difficult challenges throughout their lives. That’s why we know that reading matters. SFWS has adopted a unique Australian reading program i.e. Fitzroy. Fitzroy is the complete literacy program working on the phonic awareness that ease out the reading process. Starting with the first letters, it builds to total reading mastery. The approach is logical, step-by-step and easy to follow, and it uses a variety of teaching tools to guarantee both rapid and enjoyable reading progress in a child’s life.
Library
Library provide another space for children to learn. Library help students navigate the internet, offer a quiet area for students to study, and encourage students to read. The staff, knowing what books a student enjoys, help them choose books that are similar to their interests.
To nourish the intellect we have a large library. Every student is encouraged to read and discuss what he or she has read. Each learner is encouraged to make books his/her best friend and an escape to the world of fantasy is, in turn, facilitated. Children enjoy the library and the plethora of information it gives.
ICT Lab
A hi-tech ICT lab to make the students tech-savvy and to keep them abreast with the latest techniques & that teaches not just ICT as a subject, but also, the integration of computer skills for learning of other subjects in the curriculum.
Mathematics Lab
To enhance logical and analytical skills in the St. Francis World School we have well equipped mathematics lab.
The lab provides an opportunity for the students to discover mathematics through doing. Many of the activities present a problem or a challenge, with the possibility of generating further challenges and problems. The activities help students to visualize, manipulate and reason. They provide opportunity to make conjectures and test them, and to generalize observed patterns. They create a context for students to attempt to prove their conjectures.
Abacus
The ability to think critically and use numerical reasoning skills has become much more important in the workforce in recent years. Numerical reasoning is a higher-order thinking skill and an important factor in assessing work performance.
To develop the numerical reasoning of our children, Abacus training is delivered to them by thorough professionals. It is designed so as that it teaches children to develop laser-sharp focus.
Taking into consideration the scientific means to increase mental capability of students abacus can be used as a tool for calculation of arithmetic problems. Abacus training helps to develop the right part of the brain resulting in amazing outcome helping not only in skilling student in arithmetic itself but also improvising other subjects .
